2023 with BitterSweet Creative
BitterSweet Monthly, the non-profit storytelling arm of BitterSweet Creative, is “A counter-narrative told monthly, lived daily.” For over a decade, BitterSweet has sent teams of photographers, writers, and videographers across the globe every month to collect the stories of organizations doing amazing work. Together, we reject cynicism, defy apathy, and celebrate good.
In 2023, we refreshed our brand, updated our website, and expanded our storytelling content to include short-form written and visual works from our team of contributors—“Arts and Culture” and “Convictions.” These new sandboxes include personal essays, reflections on what it means to be human, playlists, interviews, and more, a change that called for refinement across all our channels, and to evaluate how we might fine-tune our visual storytelling even further.

As our in-house social media strategist, manager, and content creator, I revamped our digital presence to include distinct, yet familied identities for each content type within the BitterSweet brand.

Imagining more opportunities for engagement with our audiences, such as giveaways announcing our Good Gift Guide, calls for story nominations, and more, I generated weekly content for our Instagram and LinkedIn channels, doubling our social engagement within the year.
